Summer Reading 2017

Kids Calendar      Teen Calendar (coming soon)      Adult Calendar (coming soon)

Why Summer Reading?

Summer is supposed to be fun, but learning can be fun too with storytellers, animals, magic, science, crafts, Legos, and more at the library!

Children that don’t read over the summer begin forgetting lessons learned during the school year and can forget up to 3 months of learning.  Summer Reading provides fun, practical learning and a safe space for kids that would otherwise have nothing to do all summer.  Join us in building a better world, all summer long.

Food for Thought

Students on school feeding programs lose access to healthy meals during the summer. In partnership with Summer Feeding, we aim to make sure every child gets at least one good meal a day. Lunch is served every weekday from 11:15am to 1pm at the Main Library and Russellville Housing Authority. For children 18 and under.

Can’t Get to the Russellville Library?

We provide programming at the Russellville Housing Authority and the Auburn and Adairville Branches as well!  Check back soon for more details.
